The Tribospec / Sunoco Lubricants Ontario Legends rolled into Ottawa Saturday for the one and only visit to Ottodrome Speedway this year. Only a few drivers have ever been there before and it took a little extra practice to setup the cars and for the drivers to size up the track.
The series sponsors, Julian Cininni president of Tribospec Canada and Ray Wellman of Sunoco Lubricants, were on hand to watch some fast and exciting racing. Julian Cininni had nothing but praise for the series promoter, Paul Yarrow, and the car owners and drivers for putting on a great show.
The points leader, Steve Navratil (55 Security Muffler) and last weeks winner, Andy Warbutton (24 Shoeless Joe's), both staring at the back for the feature made for some exciting racing.
The checkered flag fell with Steve Navratil coming out on top followed by Andy Warbutton, Kevin Fletcher (1 It's a Wrap), Bruce Grimes (88 Tascor Construction) and rookie driver Chad Windsor (5 Wright Excavating) rounding out the top 5. .. Results
As the Tibospec / Sunoco Lubricants Ontario Legends Series head for Kawartha Speedway, Friday July 8th, the points battle closed up with the top three drivers only one point apart.
