Bulletin #13006-1-L

(Legends)

In an effort to help the INEX inspectors check Legends cars for the use of traction control devices, INEX is mandating that the wires coming from the pick-up coil leading into the ignition box be separate from all other wires. They may be secured to the firewall. However, they cannot be taped or tie wrapped to other wires. INEX will be requiring the removal & inspection of the pick-up coil & wires on occasion, so be sure that you still have the “window” in your firewall and are able to get to this item. Also, if you have any open wire ends or un-used connectors within reach of the driver (under the dash, leading to a switch, etc.), you must tape or wire tie them up so that “accessories” cannot be plugged in and un-plugged by the driver. The wires running from the ignition box back to the battery, to the dash & to the “connector strip” must run as delivered by 600 Racing, Inc. and may not go through the drivers compartment. Secondary switch panels must have at least one side open with the wires exposed as to their purpose (no closed boxes).

These changes must be made by June 1, 2006.

Bulletin #13106-1-L-B-TR

(Legends – Bandolero – Thunder Roadsters)

During the beginning of 2006, 600 Racing, Inc. will switch over from the green engine seals being used currently to a blue engine seal that will be identical to the green seal with the exception of the color. The green & blue seals will both be “legal” as long as these seals are used.

Bulletin #13106-2-B

(Bandolero)

For the 2006 racing season, INEX will require that all Bandolero cars use two INEX approved mufflers. This will be effective at all INEX sanctioned events beginning on March 1, 2006.

Bulletin #13106-3-L-TR

(Legends – Thunder Roadsters)

For the 2006 racing season, INEX will require that all 1250 Sealed engines show less than 190 lbs of cranking compression using the INEX inspectors Mac CT 125 cranking compression gauge. If a sealed engine is found to have 190 lbs + cranking compression, that engine will be impounded by the INEX inspector and delivered to INEX for inspection.

Note: the rules concerning the cranking compression of an un-sealed engine will remain as written in the current INEX rulebook.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Scott Reinhardt (INEX National Tech Director)
